The Silken Sands Writers’ Conference will once again be held at the Hampton Inn in beautiful Pensacola Beach, Florida.

Gulf-front rooms with balcony:  $159/night

Special conference rates apply only for March 18-March 21, 2010.

To Make Reservations

Telephone Reservations:

1. Call the hotel directly at 1-850-932-6800.

2. Tell the booking agent that you are booking for the Silken Sands Writers’ Conference and that the room code is GCC.

Online Reservations (instructions provided by the Hampton Inn):

1. Visit  www.hamptoninn.com to book your stay. Please note, a  credit card is required to make online reservations.

2. Enter “Pensacola Beach” as the city and “Florida” as the state.

3. Enter check in & checkout dates on screen and click the “Go” button. (These dates entered must be within the time period the rooms are blocked for our group.  Dates for our group are:  Arrival 3/18/2010 and Departure 3/21/2010.  If you try to book dates outside of this range, you will most likely get a message that there are insufficient rooms available.  In that case, make your reservation directly with the hotel by calling the number above.)

4.  Select “View Rates.”

5.  Choose “Room Type Preferences.” Indicate your preferred room type.

6.  Under the  “Special Accounts” section, please enter your “Group/Convention” code of GCC.

7. Click “Continue.”  This should pull up the rate that has been set up for our group.

8. Complete your reservation.

Please note: The deadline for hotel reservations is February 26, 2010.

Hotel amenities: Renovated in 2006, this property is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The Hampton Inn offers full complimentary continental breakfast and service at “Gilligan’s” tiki bar. The hotel has a  fitness room, two outdoor pools, and a complimentary business center.  All guest rooms feature the following: microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, and Internet access.
