News for 2012!

Published by Sherry Chancellor on December 16th, 2011 in General

The Gulf Coast Chapter is so excited about our plans for 2012! We’ll
be announcing finalists and winners for the inaugural year of our
Silken Sands Self-Published Star Contest at the 2012 Silken Sands
Conference in Penascola Beach. We’re also organizing a great line-up
of workshops and speakers for our monthly meetings. Plus, we like to
have a lot of fun. And good food. And we work hard too!

To kick off the year, we hope you’ll join us January 7, 2012, at 11 AM
for our meeting at the Moorer branch of the Mobile library, followed
by a fantastic workshop as Fran McNabb (aka Fran Fisher) talks to us
about organizing our writing. We’ll also be setting individual and
chapter goals, launching a Million-Word March program, doing group
critique sessions, having some yummy snacks, and getting excited as we
head into the home stretch of planning for the Silken Sands
Conference!

The Gulf Coast Chapter is going to have a great 2012! We hope to see you soon!
