Hello to everyone. I want to introduce myself as the new web mistress of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the RWA. Watch for some changes to our website that we hope will make it more informative. I am Sherry and welcome any feedback as I go through the process of updating the site. Our Chapter hopes you’ll join us at the Silken Sands Conference in March 2010.

Congratulations to our past President Allison Knight, whose book Heartsong has won Novel of the Year from her publisher Champagne Books! Way to go, Allison!!!
GCCRWA’s own Cynthia Eden has won the Gayle Wilson Award for Excellence for her paranormal romance Hotter After Midnight! Congratulations, Cynthia!!!
Also a finalist for the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence, only this time in the Novella category, chapter member Dianna Love’s “Midnight Kiss Goodbye” from the anthology Dead After Dark is currently in a tie with “Reason to Believe” by Roxanne St. Clair. Best of luck, Dianna!!!

Super kudos to chapter members Cynthia Eden and Dianna Love who have both finalled inThe Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence Contest!
Cynthia Eden has double finalled. Her first nomination is for Hotter After Midnight, which placed in the Paranormal Category. Her second is for “Spellbound” from the anthology Everlasting Bad Boys, which finalled in the Novella category!
Dianna Love’s story “Midnight Kiss Goodbye” from the anthology Dead After Dark has been nominated in the Novella category!
