Chapter #125 ~~ Romance Writers of America®

Who We Are

We are chapter #125 of the Romance Writers of America ® serving members from the Gulf Coast area -- Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. We also have several long distance members. We are a non-profit organization that meets to exchange market news, writing tips and provide support and encouragement to our members.

We are made up of both published and not-yet-published writers dedicated to our craft and seeking to enhance and hone our skills as writers. Support, encouragement and a friendly smile are just a few things we offer. We are writers and friends. Come join us and share in that friendship!

Membership and Benefits

Membership dues are $24 annually. Members of the chapter must be also be current members of the national organization, Romance Writers of America®. Members will receive the monthly chapter newsletter (Silken Sands) and may also participate in the chapter email group hosted by Yahoo Groups. Meetings

We meet on the first Saturday of every month with adjustments to accommodate holidays or special events. First time visitors are welcome to attend one of our meetings as a guest.

Next Scheduled Meeting ~~ Saturday, June 7, 2008

The Next Meeting of the GCCRWA will be held in the banquet room at Ryan's Buffet (formerly Fire Mountain Restaurant), 4439 Rangeline Rd., Tillman's Corner, AL. This will be a Silken Sands Conference wrap-up meeting. The doors open at 10:45. Lunch starts at 11:00 followed by the business meeting and program. The meeting will adjourn at approximately 2:00 p.m.
